Nyaah! It's ~live-to-bug-shadow's birthday today! Oh, oh, I'm super excited, she's turning 15! ^^ Muaha, I'm still older than you! So of course, celebrating her b-day, I'm dedicated dear Ruki of Gazette here for her, and just her.

Usually when digi-coloring, I lose patience, but here I tried not to. I swear! I slaved, and slaved over the details, I even put in the freakin' sewing seams on the colar. XD Do you know how hard it is to make metal look like metal? I even colored the little skulls! O.O (instead of making them blobs of grey, hehe).
Very very good. The lips are the thing that attracted my attention first, because the colour and the shading on them is just...Wow
-Much- better job on the hair than last time I know it's a pain, but it makes it look so much more complete, yay for persevering and all!
The eyes are gorgeous, as always ^^
I mean, the only thing I can find fault with (Or that looks slightly odd to me, but you know me ) is the chain type necklace with the (padlock?) hanging off it. Unsure as to why, but it doesn't seem to hang right if you get me, the padlock looks like it should have more weight than it's portraying in this picture.
Apart from that one nitpickety detail, it's stunning.

WOW what a phenomenal picture. Was it based off a photo? or is it completely original?
The hair and metal looks spot on, and very realistic. My only point against it is that the hair, the metal and the background are very low contrast. With detailed shading between the lights and the darks, however with the face, it goes to very high contrast. Was this intended as a stylistic approach?
Daily Literature Deviations is a group that is dedicated to bringing literature to the forefront of the deviantArt community. We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it.
Each day we will feature 10 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article. In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. We just ask that you make an attempt to help support the growing Literature community.
When it comes to community spirit, `Rushy is a shining example. From participating in devmeets, to providing positive encouragement to other artists, `Rushy can always be found demonstrating what it really takes to be a true deviant. It's without any hesitation that we are delighted to award the Deviousness Award for July 2009 to `RushyRead More
